Ukrainian imprint Artreform is on something of a roll now, with their last EP, the brilliant Welcome EP from A.Harris, D.Lamar and Joss still forcing an impression via some of the scene's most renowned tastemakers. For their latest trick, it's label head Joss who takes the reigns, as he perks up on his own this time around courtesy of the exceptional Mountain Castle EP.
Loaded with groove and bounce, the original moves with a similar style to the sort found in classic Delano Smith records. Make no mistake then, this is tech-house with staying power, with its luscious melody line and its vocal sample precisely the sort of weaponry that'll safely slay even the most discerning and ardent of dancefloors.
On the remix front, Benno Blome, the owner of esteemed German imprint Sender Records grasps the opportunity to shine with some distinction, as he turns in a warm, fuzzy and charming remix of the original that's striking for its sumptuous elegance and nonchalant charm. Once again, the Artreform guys have come up trumps here.
